What is Exhale and how does it work?

Is Exhale safe for children and pets?

What are bed bug kairomones?

Kairomones are chemical signals released by one organism that benefit the receiver. For bed bugs, the primary kairomone is CO2 — the gas humans exhale. Bed bugs use CO2 to locate sleeping hosts from several metres away. Exhale harnesses this biology to attract and detect bed bugs without toxins.

Can Exhale be used after a bed bug heat treatment?

Yes. Exhale is the ideal post-treatment verification tool. After a heat treatment, deploy Exhale for 48-72 hours to confirm whether any bed bugs survived. If no activity is detected, you have strong evidence the treatment was successful.

Introducing the ExHale Dispenser 2.0

Last month we launched the ExHale Dispenser 2.0, a ground-up redesign of the ExHale Dispenser. The core formula hasn't changed, and existing canisters work straight into the new dispenser. What has changed is everything about how it's operated.

Precise Scheduling, Full Control

The new dispenser replaces the light sensor entirely with a programmable timer. You set the exact times you want ExHale to spray. Start time, stop time and the dispenser follows that schedule regardless of ambient light. More usefully, you can program up to three separate intervals in a single session, which maps directly to how bed bugs actually behave: a burst of activity in the early hours of the night, a quieter period, and then a second wave before dawn. A typical configuration might run from 11pm to 1am, pause, then resume from 2am to 4am and again from 5am to 6am. This level of precision means you're not wasting canister content during inactive periods, and you're deploying ExHale exactly when it will have the most impact.

A Redesigned Body

The new unit has also been redesigned from the outside in. The housing is now dark green with the ExHale branding, designed entirely by the Skatek team. The change most PCOs will notice immediately is the open/close mechanism. The original dispenser was functional but required some effort to open and close in the field, particularly when working quickly across multiple rooms. The new mechanism is considerably smoother. More importantly, the control panel is now accessible while the dispenser is installed and the cover is closed, which means you can adjust settings mid-job without having to remove and reinstall the unit. For operators running large jobs across multiple rooms, this is a meaningful time saving.

Same Canister, New Dispenser

The ExHale formula and canister format are unchanged. If you're already using ExHale, your existing stock works with the new dispenser straight away. The upgrade is purely to the unit itself.
